UFC 280 results: Belal Muhammad takes winning streak to 8 with knockout over Sean Brady, calls out "big bad wolf" Khamzat Chimaev at "179.8" 

Belal Muhammad extended his unbeaten run to nine fights (eight wins) with a TKO victory over undefeated prospect Sean Brady. Following the victory, Muhammad called out Khamzat Chimaev, who was in attendance at UFC 280.

The last fight on the preliminary card had everyone in attendance on their feet. The path to victory did not come easy for Muhammad, who was slightly behind on the scorecards at the end of the first round. Brady, who had a perfect 15-0 record going into the fight against Muhammad, had initial success in the first-round from boxing range. The American opened the second round with hard leg kicks and got the better of most exchanges.

One of the biggest moments of the fight came in the second stanza when Brady landed a crisp left hook that stunned Muhammad momentarily. The 34-year-old's chin held up as he continued to push the action. A big right-hand landed from Muhammad that marked the beginning of the end of the fight. He followed up with a barrage of punches, and the referee stepped in to call an end to the fight.

Belal Muhammad emerged as the victor with a TKO victory, putting and end to Sean Brady's undefeated record.

Belal Muhammad calls out Khamzat Chimaev and Leon Edwards for a fight after UFC 280 victory

Following the victory, a visibly fired-up Muhammad grabbed the opportunity to call out undefeated welterweight sensation Khamzat Chimaev for a catchweight fight at "179.8" lbs. The No.5-ranked welterweight contender harked back to 'Borz's infamous mishap at UFC 279 where his failed attempt to make weight forced him out of the main event against Nate Diaz.

"I heard Leon Edwards is out here. Where is he at? I also heard the big-bad wolf if coming back down [ to welterweight]. I can fight at 179.8 [lbs]. Doesn't matter to me. I'm here to fight the best people."

Belal Muhammad's fight against current welterweight champion Leon Edwards had an unfortunate ending after 'Rocky' poked the American in the eye, rendering him unable to continue.

The Chicagoan has clearly made his case for a shot at the welterweight title. However, the division is stacked with talented and viable contenders. Earlier this week, UFC president Dana White even stated that the organization is working on getting the trilogy fight between Edwards and Kamaru Usman booked early next year in the UK. There is also talk of having Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington on the same card for a welterweight showdown, possibly to determine the next contender.
