UFC welterweight Joaquin Buckley's victory over Andre Fialho at UFC Fight Night: Dern vs. Hill was followed up by a questionable celebration.

Buckley broke off from his two-fight losing skid in incredible fashion by landing a left kick straight to the head of his opponent in the second round and ending the fight. He returned to welterweight after fighting at middleweight his entire UFC career.

After the referee put an end to the fight, Buckley went over to his corner to fetch a bottle of Prime and doused himself with it. Prime is the official sports drink supplier of the UFC and is owned by YouTubers and celebrity boxers Logan Paul and KSI.

Fans speculated that Buckley was vying to land a sponsorship deal with Prime.

"He was looking for the camera so he could dump Prime on his head and get a deal from Logan Paul"

Other fans were not impressed by the celebration.

"Acting like a fool"
"Bruh had to have been off a bean"
"classless"
"you knock out your opponent you guys scrapped. and you taunt on him when he literally didn’t say a word? that’s some pussy shit"

Fans also joked about him being hot after the fight and wasting his Prime beverage.

"maybe he was just a little hot"
"Wasting his prime"
"bros gonna be sticky asf"

Other fans reminded Buckley that it was just a Fight Night card and not a UFC numbered event.

"Relax Buckley, it's only a Fight Night card [face with tears of joy emoji]"

Joaquin Buckley calls for Prime sponsorship from Logan Paul

Joaquin Buckley clarified his celebration in the post-fight octagon interview with Michael Bisping.

He directly addressed Prime's co-owner Logan Paul and asked him to sponsor athletes from the UFC.

“Logan Paul, you got your Prime shit all over the place. Sponsor athletes from the UFC, fool. Come on bruh. Get your boy New Mansa in the building, let’s get it.”

Prime's existing sponsorship deal with the UFC only extends to the promotion and individual athletes are not part of the same deal. However, it may not be up to Paul to decide if the beverage brand sponsors Buckley as he is only a part owner of the company with a marginal 20% stake.
