The UFC is heading back to the Apex Center in Enterprise, Nevada for its next fight card, UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland. The action will go down this Saturday, December 17, with a series of intriguing matchups to look forward to.
Headlining the card is a middleweight showdown between No.3-ranked Jared Cannonier and No.7-ranked Sean Strickland. Both men will head into the upcoming Fight Night headliner hoping to get back in the win column following setbacks this past July.
'The Killa Gorilla' suffered a one-sided unanimous decision loss in his championship bout against then-titleholder Israel Adesanya while 'Tarzan' was stopped by a devastating first-round KO at the hands of newly minted 185-pound champ Alex Pereira.

This is a pivotal matchup for both fighters and a statement performance from either man could catapult the winner straight into title contention.
Who else is fighting on UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland?
Arman Tsarukyan, who came up short in his first promotional headliner against Mateusz Gamrot last time out in June, will take on another promising prospect, Damir Ismagulov.
Ismagulov will be aiming for his 20th straight victory when he makes his sixth promotional appearance on Saturday. In his latest outing in June, the Russian edged out a split-decision win over Guram Kutateladze.
No.8-ranked flyweight Amir Albazi will also feature on the card as he looks to spoil the promotional debut of a streaking Alessandro Costa. 'The Prince' has been on a roll lately, recording three submission finishes in his last four wins. Costa, meanwhile, is a product of Dana White's Contender Series and is riding a seven-fight win streak.
The card will also feature a lightweight clash between promotional veterans Drew Dober and Bobby Green. Dober is coming off back-to-back finishes, with his latest victory coming over Rafael Alves via knockout this past July. Prior to that win, the 34-year-old dispatched Terrance McKinney with a first-round TKO in March.
His opponent, Bobby Green, is coming off a first-round TKO defeat at the hands of reigning lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in February.
The potential main card opener of UFC Vegas 66 will see Cody Brundage aim for a third first-round stoppage victory against Michal Oleksiejczuk, who is seeking his second first-round finish.
