During a recent episode of his show The MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani discussed the future of the welterweight division in the UFC.

While looking at who could be next for a potential title shot following this weekend's championship match between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards, Helwani seemingly forgot to mention Belal Muhammad in the mix.

It is worth noting that Muhammad has been undefeated since 2019. Currently riding a nine-fight unbeaten streak in the UFC with wins over the likes of Sean Brady, Vicente Luque, Stephen Thompson, and more, 'Remember the Name' feels like he deserves to be in the mix for title contention.

Reacting to Ariel Helwani's snub, Belal Muhammad had this to say on Twitter:

"Lol when I say the hate is real… Leon was on an 8 fight streak last win being Nate diaz he was preaching for him to get the title shot... I’m on an 8 fight streak with 4 ranked wins last one coming against a 15-0 prospect but now it’s 'man no one’s really making sense for next.'"

Belal Muhammad will train with Khabib Nurmagomedov again for his next UFC bout

Belal Muhammad has suggested that he's going to train with Khabib Nurmagomedov for his next fight as well. Since retiring from MMA in October 2020, the former UFC champion has stayed around the sport and helped coach several fellow fighters.

Interestingly, Khabib Nurmagomedov was in Muhammad's corner for his most recent fight against Sean Brady in October 2022 and also helped him train in the build-up to it. Muhammad ended up winning the bout via second-round TKO, becoming the first fighter to defeat Brady.

During a recent Instagram Live session, Belal Muhammad suggested that once his next fight gets finalized, he will most likely go to Dagestan to train with Khabib Nurmagomedov:

"Yes, I do. I'm talking to him. We've had close calls with getting fights, so asking his opinion on them. Inshallah, we'll be in Dagestan, get something soon once we get a fight going."
