Jon Jones has reigned dominant over the 205lb division since debuting in the UFC and after years of speculation, the Hall-of-Famer has made a successful move up to heavyweight, but there could be an incredibly tough matchup waiting for him.

'Bones' finally answered questions regarding his future in the sport when he returned from a three-year layoff to serve a one-sided display against the promising Ciryl Gane. Despite seemingly having an advantage in speed, movement, and potential power, the Frenchman was no match for his opponent.

While showering Jon Jones with praise following his win last time out, UFC heavyweight Tanner Boser made a bold statement as he named Curtis Blaydes as the one fighter who the elite athlete should be wary of:

"Jones is just that good, I guess... We all know that Gane's strength is his striking, that's not a secret, we know what he's best at. Even though Jones is the better wrestler and probably the better jiu-jitsu guy, Gane is really physically strong...
"For Jones to just manhandle him right out the gate, [it's] pretty crazy. I don't know who the answer to Jones is [but] if I had to pick a guy in the division that I thought would beat Jones, I don't know about would, but I think the best bet is Curtis Blaydes."

Curtis Blaydes is currently riding a three-fight win streak and finds himself in what could be considered a No. 1 contender clash next time out when he locks horns with the dangerous Sergei Pavlovich on April 22.

Jon Jones next fight: Who is 'Bones' facing next?

While nothing has been made official as of yet, newly crowned king Jon Jones and former champion Stipe Miocic have verbally agreed to meet in the octagon next in what will, without a doubt, be a blockbuster occasion.

Miocic is regarded by many to be the greatest heavyweight to ever compete in mixed martial arts, but his winning run was brought to an end during his last appearance in the cage when he was knocked out by Francis Ngannou.

The Ohio native is seeking to cement his legacy in the sport even deeper when he steps into the octagon against Jon Jones, with the two rumored to collide at International Fight Week in July.
