Tito Ortiz has ventured into the food and drink industry as the former UFC light heavyweight champion recently took to Instagram to post a promotional poster for his new restaurant.

The 48-year-old is considered to be one of the pioneers of the sport of mixed martial arts and boasts a record of 21-12-1 with ten knockouts in his career. Ortiz made his UFC debut in 1997 and beat Wanderlei Silva to win the light heavyweight championship in 2000. He left the promotion in 2012 and is currently signed to Combate Americas.

However, it looks like Tito Ortiz is ready to make a move into the hospitality world. In a recent Instagram post, 'The Huntington Beach Bad Boy' teased a look at his new restaurant 'Tito's Cantina' in Cape Coral, Florida. The poster clarified the restaurant's Mexican cuisine specialty and the identity of its owner.

The post was captioned:

"Coming Soon!!!!"

Ortiz is currently on a three-fight winning streak, with two of those victories coming against Chuck Liddel and Chael Sonnen in 2018 and 2017, respectively.

During his time in the UFC, Tito Ortiz beat fighting greats like Ken Shamrock, Forrest Griffin, Chuck Liddell, Chael Sonnen, Stephan Bonnar, Vitor Belfort, and Wanderlei Silva.

When Tito Ortiz named Michael Chandler as his favorite fighter to watch in the UFC

Michael Chandler is widely regarded as one of the most entertaining fighters in the UFC owing to his explosive style of fighting and ability to go to war against his opponents in the octagon. Unsurprisingly, 'Iron' has been awarded a 'Performance of the Night' or 'Fight of the Night' bonus in four of his last five outings.

The mercurial lightweight has even impressed the former UFC champion, Tito Ortiz. In an interview with Helen Yee last year, the 48-year-old was asked about who his favorite fighter to watch was. Ortiz referenced Chandler's impressive knockout against Tony Ferguson at UFC 274 and stated:

"One of my favorite ones to watch right now? I'd have to say Michael Chandler. Just the turnaround he's done in his career has been amazing. It shows that hard work really does pay off. And the knockout he did against Tony, I was just like wow. Ferguson's never been knocked out like that."
