Kell Brook and Conor Benn got into a brawl earlier ringside for Katie Taylor's return.

'KT' is slated to face Chantelle Cameron later today for women's light-welterweight gold. The two are slated to headline a high-profile Matchroom Boxing card, and it's seemingly brought out several stars. One name that showed up was 'Special K'.

The former champion has been out of the ring since a knockout win over Amir Khan last year. Following that victory over 'King', Brook announced his plans to retire. However, over the last few months, he's shown an interest in returning to the ring.

One name that has been pitched for his return is Conor Benn. 'The Destroyer' is currently still fighting his suspension from last October, when he tested positive days out from his fight against Chris Eubank Jr. While he's under suspension in the U.K., Benn has stated his plans to return to the ring outside the country.

Well, it seems that Kell Brook and Conor Benn might've just unintentionally created a massive matchup. The former champion was ringside when he was having an interview with Matchroom Boxing. Suddenly, Benn passed by, and the two began exchanging words.

Those words quickly turned to shouts, and then pushing and shoving. Luckily, the two were separated before things could escalate, but it was a wild situation.

Could Conor Benn fight Kell Brook next?

Conor Benn could fight Kell Brook at some point, but there are multiple hurdles in making the fight happen.

For starters, 'The Destroyer' is currently under a provisional suspension in the U.K. In October, Benn was suspended days out from his fight against Chris Eubank Jr. due to testing positive for Clomifene, which can be used to counter the effects of steroid use. The drug is banned in boxing competition for that very reason

The British Boxing Board of Control normally only controls suspensions in the U.K., which makes sense. However, while that is the case, a suspension that is handed out in one country, or by one commission, can be upheld by another.

So, whenever Conor Benn attempted to navigate his suspension earlier this year to fight Manny Pacquiao, it didn't come to fruition. At the time, the welterweight contender stated that the BBBoC was regularly lobbying commissions to not let him fight.

With that in mind, fans are relatively far still away out from seeing a possible fight against Chris Eubank Jr. Nonetheless, their scuffle at 3Arena in Dublin earlier today was still a spectacle to behold.
