For those impressed with what Fabricio Andrade has turned into with just eleven pro-MMA fights, he believes fans will see his absolute best in a few days.

The bantamweight world title contender has completed his training camp for a rematch with former world champion John Lineker and is ready to show off what he’s been working on.

Andrade posted a video of himself hitting pads with a coach at Phuket, Thailand’s Tiger Muay Thai, promising fans that they’re about to see a show. Take a look:

“Fight week is here 🔥 couple more days and you will watch the best performance of my life”

Although the main event of ONE Fight Night 7 event will pit Brazilian vs. Brazilian, Fabricio Andrade won’t have to even travel outside of his timezone for the fight. From Phuket to Bangkok, Andrade will have the comfort of a familiar place and culture during fight week, whereas John Lineker will be traveling across the Pacific Ocean from Brazil.

Not only will the culture feel familiar, but the setting of a ring for their fight connects back to Andrade’s roots competing in Muay Thai. He began training in the “art of eight limbs” at age thirteen in his hometown of Fortaleza, Brazil.

After compiling a 40-3 record in Muay Thai, he’s competing in his second MMA world title fight for ONE Championship, twelve years after beginning his martial arts journey. Once again, Andrade will face someone older and more experienced than him in 35-9 slugger John Lineker, which is the main event of ONE Fight Night 7.

Fabricio Andrade still respects Lineker’s body of work, but believes “it’s my time”

There’s more than a few similarities between bantamweight world title challengers Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker.

Fabricio Andrade could be compared to what John Lineker has represented over the past decade- an all-action Brazilian with a knack for knockouts.

In addition, Andrade believes that it’s his time to take over for Lineker while acknowledging that he respects the reputation he’s built for himself.

During Andrade’s pre-fight interviews for ONE Fight Night 7, he had this to say about his opponent:

“As I said before, I have all the respect for the history that he built. I have been watching him for a long time. He's been around for a long time. So he got my respect for that. But now, it's my time. He's talking about a different time.”

John Lineker has established himself as one of the most fearsome knockout artists in MMA, with seventeen career knockouts. He fought for years in the UFC and recently won the ONE bantamweight world championship, which he only lost by missing weight.

The two forces will collide in a short matter of days this Friday night in Bangkok, Thailand. All the fights at ONE Fight Night 7 will be broadcast live and for free on Prime Video for all Amazon subscribers in North America on U.S. primetime of February 24.
