ONE flyweight Muay Thai standout Johan Ghazali does not take any form of disrespect lightly. Tai Sor Jor Piek Uthai learned this lesson the hard way when they crossed paths in May 2023.
Before they returned to their corners following the referee's final instructions, Ghazali looked to wish the hard-hitting Thai star good luck by touching gloves. However, the 24-year-old left him hanging.
The Sor Jor Piek Uthai representative would soon regret his unwillingness to return the gesture, as the 18-year-old ran right through him. Midway through the third round, Ghazali put him away with a two-punch combination.

Ghazali earned himself a six-figure contract with ONE after improving his winning streak to four with a second-round knockout of Temirlan Bekmurzaev in October that same year.
However, the Malaysian-American sensation has dropped two of his last four outings. His most recent showing was a unanimous decision defeat to fellow up-and-comer Johan Estupinan at ONE 170 this past January.
Ghazali will look to bounce back with a win over hardened veteran Diego Paez at ONE Fight Night 32: Nakrob vs. Jaosuayai on Prime Video on Friday, June 6. The Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, will host the event.
Johan Ghazali pursuing a knockout of Diego Paez
Johan Ghazali owns five knockouts in his six-win ONE resume. He now plans to make Diego Paez his latest addition to the list at ONE Fight Night 32.
He told Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview:
"Maybe stay a little bit patient and wait for the finish. But it's going to be hard to just 'wait' because he's going to come forward. So, yeah, as soon as the finish comes, I will be in search of the KO."
ONE Fight Night 32 will be available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
