WATCH: Liam Harrison drops throwback vlog on his return to action in 2021

While Liam Harrison focuses on a healthy return to the ONE Circle, he’s sharing some of the highlights of his lengthy career.

The ONE bantamweight Muay Thai fighter dropped a vlog from a massive event that he was part of in London about eighteen months ago, showing his warmups, highlights from his Muay Thai fight, and interacting with his opponent after the fight.

The video is a behind-the-scenes look at the Road to ONE: Muay Thai Grand Prix event that took place on October 9, 2021, in London, England. The event was a partnership between ONE Championship and one of Europe’s leading promotions, Muay Thai Grand Prix.

Liam Harrison fought at the event, set at London’s O2 Arena, against France’s Brayan Matias. The Englishman won a unanimous decision, which was his first fight in eighteen months.

The Muay Thai great has fought twice since this event, both times in ONE Championship’s bantamweight Muay Thai division. He first made a successful return to the Circle with a first-round knockout of Muangthai PK Saenchai, and then came up short in a world title shot against Nong-O Hama last August.

The loss broke a five-fight win streak for Harrison, but he seems no less eager to get back in the ONE Circle and work towards a world title shot.


Liam Harrison aches to return to sparring while recovering from injury

Liam Harrison is counting down the hours until he can strap up again.

His leg was recently strapped up with a cast as underwent knee surgery. The injury took him out of fights with ONE Championship and against Floyd Mayweather, and “Hitman” can’t wait to pick up where he left off.

Harrison posted to his Instagram an older video of him sparring with teammates, expressing his thirst to be able to spar again later this year once recovered from surgery:

"I miss sparring so badly …might not look it but all these boys in the vid are the best of friends …how can you express love to your best friends other than punching them In the face and kicking them really hard… even when I retire will still be definitely sparring like this once a week ….it’s my favourite part of training and always has been…can’t wait to dance with you boys again in a few months."

One of the best strikers to ever come out of England, 37-year-old Liam Harrison has fought over one hundred times and claimed eight world titles in Muay Thai. Both of his wins for ONE Championship have come by first-round knockout.
