ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is living proof of the age-old saying, "genius is the mastery of the fundamentals".
His whole skillset is comprised of moves and attacks you might encounter in a beginner's Muay Thai class. The only difference is that his moves are done at the highest level possible.
One of his most basic but utterly devastating attacks is his trademark roundhouse kick to the body. It's swift, technical, and near-impossible to time and defend.

In a video posted by ONE commentator Mitch Chilson on Instagram, we saw Nong-O teaching him how to land the perfect roundhouse kick to the body.
Here's the video:
"@nongogaiyanghadao breaks down his punishing Muay Thai style right roundhouse kick. Catch him in action when he defends his BW title at the first @onechampionship Lumpinee card!!"
Nong-O Gaiyanghadao's round kick could be broken into just three fundamental steps: step your lead foot out, pivot your foot as you throw the kick, and then swing your arm for counter-balance. It doesn't get any more basic or fundamentalist than that. There's no subtle or secret move that gives it an extra factor - just pure and clean technique.
The secret, however, is to do it thousands and thousands of times, and that is the hard part.
Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will headline ONE's historic card inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand
Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will defend his world title for a record seventh time against former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Alaverdi Ramazanov at ONE Lumpinee 1. It will be ONE Championship's first-ever foray into the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand where legends of Muay Thai were born.
The bout was originally scheduled for ONE Fight night 6 on Prime Video on January 13, but has been rescheduled to headline ONE Lumpinee 1, which will take place on January 20.
The historic partnership between ONE and Lumpinee Stadium targets to produce 52 events this year. They will be kicking off this partnership on a high note with a massive bout featuring two of the greatest Muay Thai fighters alive today.
Nong-O Gaiyanghadao made his name in Muay Thai inside the legendary walls of the Lumpinee Stadium. In his professional career, the seemingly unstoppable bantamweight Muay Thai king was able to win world titles in four weight classes during his stint in Lumpinee.
Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is currently on a nine-fight win streak, with his last four outings won by KO/TKO. Look to see him shine even brighter as he will be performing in front of his countrymen inside the stadium that he once called home.
