ONE women's atomweight world champion, 'Unstoppable' Angela Lee, is quite the grappling slickster. The Singaporean-American MMA marvel once pulled off one of the rarest submissions ever, the awe-inspiring Twister.
Lee pulled off the rare submission in just her third professional MMA bout against Natalie Gonzales Hills. The Twister looked so excruciatingly painful as it literally twisted the Australian fighter's body in ways it wasn't supposed to.
Originally popularized by jiu-jitsu pioneer and modern-day master Eddie Bravo, the Twister is a modified version of the amateur wrestling pin called the Guillotine, invented by Ralph Leander Lupton. The pin, which is a cross between a leg ride and a hook on one leg, uses unbearable pain to force an athlete to either tap or go on their back.

Though in amateur wrestling, the move is used to pin a competitor's shoulders on the mat, it's used as a submission hold in MMA and jiu-jitsu. It takes a level of grappling expertise, however, to even know how to set it up - let alone finish it.
In a recent video posted on Instagram, we saw Angela Lee showing and demonstrating the intricacies of the move to ONE commentator Mitch Chilson. The ONE women's atomweight world champion went into copious detail to show Chilson how to successfully pull off the Twister.

Angela Lee lost a controversial, razor-close bout against rival Xiong Jing Nan at ONE on Prime Video 2
In perhaps one of the best MMA fights we've seen this year, rivals 'Unstoppable' Angela Lee and 'The Panda' Xiong Jing Nan put on a classic at ONE on Prime Video 2.
The ONE atomweight queen went up to strawweight to challenge Xiong once again for her coveted 125-pound world title. Coming into the fight, both Lee and Xiong were 1-1 against each other and the rubber match definitely brought out the best in both warriors.
Xiong was the first to draw blood as she shocked and dropped Lee in the first round. 'Unstoppable' was nearly stopped as she barely kept her head attached to her body during the wild first round.
By the second round, Angela Lee showed her unbelievable toughness and mettle by still confronting Xiong on the feet. She even went after the Chinese world champion as if she was never hurt in the previous round.
The atomweight queen mostly stood toe-to-toe with the strawweight world champ, connecting with a few good strikes at the risk of getting hurt again.
By the final round, Angela Lee's aggressive striking combinations and grappling attempts closed the gap, but weren't enough to make up for the damage Xiong caused.
Xiong Jing Nan, though visibly slowing down over the course of the bout, was able to cause enough damage and secure near-fight-ending moments to get the judges' decision.
Regardless of who got her hand raised, however, the true winners of the bout were the fans as they were treated to a Fight of the year contender that night.
