Muay Thai legend Nong-O Hama started his ONE Championship career on a 10-fight winning streak. One of his best outings in that run happened in September 2019 when he defended the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship against Brice Delval.
The Algerian star had a three-inch height advantage over the 5-foot-7 Nong-O and tried to capitalize on it by throwing kicks often. For every strike that the challenger threw, though, Nong-O responded with a quick combo that had Delval immediately covering up.

Nong-O's immense fight IQ eventually overcame the high-pressure style of Delval to win by unanimous decision and, in turn, successfully defend the bantamweight Muay Thai crown for a second time.
The Thai legend would defend it five more times before being dethroned by British star Jonathan Haggerty in April 2023. In December of that year, Nong-O was knocked out by Scottish star Nico Carrillo.
The Thai hero returned to his winning ways this past April in an action-packed battle with compatriot Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai.
Nong-O gunning for a second straight win in September
Nong-O will have his 14th fight under the ONE Championship banner at ONE Friday Fights 81 on September 27 as he faces Russian star Kiamran Nabati in a bantamweight Muay Thai bout.
Nabati is coming off an explosive first-round knockout of Suablack Tor Pran49 this past June to stay undefeated through three bouts in his ONE career. He will now look to claim his fourth win at the 37-year-old icon's expense inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
