Most fans might not know that the 17-year-old Malaysian-American comes from a lineage of fighters, with his mother and father having played a pivotal role in his decision to pursue a career in Muay Thai.

With their support, 'Jojo' is on the rise like no other within the world's largest martial arts promotion, and when he kept playing around with his mom, she decided to teach him a lesson by way of a pair of leg kicks.

Fans last saw the Rentap Muay Thai Gym product step into the circle at ONE 167 last month against five-time Muay Thai world champion Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat in the hopes of extending his unbeaten record in ONE to six victories.

However, 35-year-old 'No.1' neutralized Ghazali with a torrential downpour of leg kicks, which led to him giving the youngster his first-ever loss by way of unanimous decision.

With Johan Ghazali having gotten his first taste of defeat in ONE Championship, fans will look forward to how he responds in his next bout.

He will have his chance to do so in the undercard of ONE 168: Denver on September 6 inside the Ball Arena in Denver against Josue Cruz - another dangerous striker who is looking to claim his first-ever win in the Circle.
