Ahead of his bout against Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282, Darren Till gave his thoughts on the potential matchup between Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington.

Darren Till thinks that Khamzat Chimaev would overpower Covington if they ever fought, however, 'Borz' would have to factor in five rounds and prepare accordingly.

'The Gorilla' had the following to say about the potential Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington matchup:

"I think that's a very good fight. I do, because people don't see a lot of Colby, like, in the news and media. But, I know he's a guy who, in secret, trains really f*****g hard, and I know he's really, like, disciplined. I think, if them two [were] to fight, I think Khamzat would overpower him. I believe his striking is better. And, when it comes to the wrestling, I think he'd be the powerful one."

In terms of skill, Darren Till claimed that Khamzat Chimaev would dominate Colby Covington. 'The Gorilla' continued:

"But obviously, it'd be over five rounds. He's have to be fully prepared. So yeah, [with regards to] the thrash talk - his English is getting phenomenally better, obviously. Me and him speak on the daily. So, he's got that Scouse twang, doesn't he? It'd be a good fight [between him and Covington], it would be a really good fight."

What does Darren Till think about Dricus du Plessis ahead of their fight at UFC 282?

Darren Till, ranked No. 10 in the middleweight division, will square off against the No. 14-ranked Dricus du Plessis on the main card of UFC 282 on December 10. The fight will be Till's 12th UFC appearance, and the Scouser's fourth middleweight bout in the organization.

At the pre-fight media scrum, 'The Gorilla' spoke at length about his preparation and mindset going into the fight with du Plessis. 'The Gorilla' said the following about his opponent:

"He's been beating people. He's on the rise. Obviously, I'm the guy to take the fight. It's not like he's looking up, people say I'm looking down. I'm looking up, and he could be the one looking down on me because he's winning, so - it's just going to be a good fight."

Regarding any potential trash talk, Till said the following:

"I don't think there's any smack talk to be said. He's f*****g South African, I don't think they'd even use profanity. So, he's a nice guy is all I'm going to say. It's a good fight, innit?"

The UFC 282 fight between Till and du Plessis will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The bout will be co-headlined by Paddy Pimblett vs. Jared Gordon, while ex-light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz will fight for gold once again against the No. 4 ranked Magomed Ankalaev.
