Who won the UFC fight last night (19th November 2022)?

The UFC Fight Night 215 event took a hit in the form of a massive cancelation, but it's safe to say that the replacement main event delivered on expectations.

Just hours before Derrick Lewis vs. Serghei Spivac was set to take place, the UFC broadcast team announced that the main event bout had been scrapped due to an illness suffered by Lewis. Details about Lewis' condition are still scarce, but it was reported that the issue had nothing to do with COVID or weight cutting.

As a result, the light heavyweight contest between Kennedy Nzechukwu and Ion Cutelaba was bumped into the main event spot.

Cutelaba started strong as he was able to take Nzechukwu down in the first and keep him grounded for the majority of the round. In round two, Nzechukwu countered Cutelaba's takedown with a perfectly-timed knee to the head.

In a subsequent exchange, Cutelaba accidentally hit Nzechukwu with a low blow. However, Nzechukwu didn't want to throw his momentum away, sensing that his opponent was in trouble. 'African Savage' was proven right in wanting to fight on as he connected with another knee that led to the finishing sequence.

In the UFC heavyweight division, Waldo Cortes-Acosta kept his undefeated record intact with a unanimous decision victory over Chase Sherman. 'Salsa Boy' is 2-0 in the octagon and 9-0 overall.

Muslim Salikhov earned an impressive come-from-behind victory over Andre Fialho. The Russian UFC fighter is back in the win column following his TKO win in round three.

Australian prospect Jack Della Maddalena continued to impress with a first-round TKO win over Danny Roberts. It was Della Maddalena's third straight win since making his UFC debut earlier this year.

The main card kicked off with Charles Johnson defeating Zhalgas Zhumagulov via split decision. After three competitive rounds, 'InnerG' earned a pair of 29-28 cards to secure the victory.
