Zubaira Tukhugov has admitted to "slapping" Conor McGregor during the post-fight altercation following the Irishman's loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. He stated that he vowed to do it beforehand.

The highly anticipated fight between McGregor and Nurmagomedov took place on October 6, 2018, after a heated build-up. McGregor was defeated in the fourth round by submission.
