Today we’ll discuss Danielle Kelly anticipating whatever Ayaka Miura has in store, Stamp Fairtex taking on Alyse Anderson in ONE Championship’s first on-site event in the United States, and Angela Lee penning a heartfelt tribute to her younger sister Victoria.

#3. “I hope she knows I’m working from bad spots” - Danielle Kelly prepared to face adversity against Ayaka Miura

Danielle Kelly could be heading into the most pivotal match of her ONE Championship career when she faces Japanese grappler Ayaka Miura at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.

Miura could be Kelly’s toughest yet in ONE Championship, with the MMA star once challenging the indomitable Xiong Jing Nan for the ONE women’s strawweight world title.

Despite being the smaller fighter in the matchup, Kelly said she’s ready for whatever Miura brings to their match on February 24 at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok.

Kelly, in an interview with The MMA Superfan, said that Miura might use the size advantage against her but that she’ll be ready to take the dominant position in whichever way possible:

“You know it might be an advantage for me if I were in a bad spot, and I hope she knows I’m working from bad spots. I think I’m way smaller than her, I might just take her back from there. So she kinda has to be sure that it’s a really good takedown or submission locked on there.”

ONE Fight Night 7 is available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

#2. Stamp Fairtex books a spot on ONE Fight Night 10 in Colorado against American Alyse Anderson

The Stamp Dance is heading to the United States.

Thai superstar Stamp Fairtex got her wish of fighting in the US as she’s set to take on Alyse Anderson in an atomweight MMA bout at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 at the 1stBank Center in Colorado.

“Stamp Fairtex makes her U.S. on-ground debut on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10! Get your tickets NOW to watch the Thai sensation take on American star Alyse “Lil’ Savage” Anderson in a women's atomweight barnburner 🔥,” ONE Championship announced on Instagram.

Stamp, in an interview with the promotion, said that fighting in the United States has always been a dream for her and she’s going to fulfill that desire at ONE Championship’s landmark event:

“Absolutely, I really want to fight in the U.S. I went there for seminars recently and I found out that I had a lot of fans there. I hope someday I will be able to compete in front of the American fans.”

#1. ONE Championship atomweight champion Angela Lee shares heartfelt message for late sister Victoria Lee on Instagram

ONE women’s atomweight world champion Angela Lee is slowly coping with the untimely loss of her younger sister Victoria.

The prodigious MMA talent passed away in December 2022, and Angela admitted in an Instagram post that she’s still distraught over the tragedy.

Nevertheless, the oldest of the Lee siblings is slowly dealing with her loss and trying to find comfort in her sister’s memory. In a lengthy Instagram post, Angela paid tribute to Victoria and detailed how her younger sister's memory will always be with her:

“Sometimes in life there are losses. Losses that can never really be replaced. Losing you has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to live with. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. I wasn’t ready to let you leave. I would give anything for just one more day, just one more second. But I’ve learned to trust in unconditional love. Because the one profound thing about death is that love never dies.”

She added:

“Some bonds cannot be broken… Someday we will meet again — and we will no longer be separated by time or space. But until that day, I’ll find comfort in knowing that you are still with me. Your heart safely tucked inside mine. Some hearts just belong together and nothing will ever change that. I loved you then. I love you now. Always did. Always will. Forever in my mind. Forever in my heart. I will carry you."

Victoria was tabbed as one of the best young MMA stars of the current generation. She made her ONE Championship debut in 2021 and amassed a perfect 3-0 with all three wins coming via finish.
