Welcome to today's edition of the daily Sportskeeda ONE Championship News Roundup, where we present the promotion's most important stories.

Today, we’ll discuss Daren Till looking to compete in Muay Thai matches in ONE Championship, Tye Ruotolo predicting a D’Arce choke win over Reinier de Ridder, and Demetrious Johnson keen to move on from his rivalry against Adriano Moraes.

#3. Darren Till open to competing in Muay Thai in ONE Championship

British star Darren Till is currently inactive from the competition, but that doesn’t mean he’s not looking at options.

The welterweight star from Liverpool, England, had a recent interview with Chamatkar Sandhu and revealed that he’s open to competing in ONE Championship’s Muay Thai circuit.

Till said that with ONE Championship being one of the biggest martial arts organizations in the world, the promotion would be a viable option for him moving forward.

He did, however, stress that his only goal would be to compete in Muay Thai and not in mixed martial arts:

“Well, I think you just mentioned Muay Thai. I think there’s big grass for it in ONE Championship in Singapore. I think outside the UFC, ONE Championship could be the biggest organization in the world because the Singapore market you know it’s huge … So that could be one option. You know, a few Thai fights, me bread and butter stuff like that.”

#2. Tye Ruotolo calls his shot, vows to D’Arce Reinier de Ridder

Tye Ruotolo and Reinier de Ridder have never been shy in talking smack against each other in the lead-up to ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.

Although their trash talk never crossed into volatile territory, their back-and-forth has been entertaining nonetheless.

Ruotolo, for his part, offered a look into his approach for their middleweight submission grappling match on May 5 at 1stBank Arena in Colorado.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Ruotolo said that he plans to submit the ONE middleweight world champion with his and his brother Kade’s trademark D’Arce choke:

“I plan on D’Arcing him. I know he has a good D’Arce choke, and I definitely want to show him how it’s done correctly. I think it might take a couple of minutes, but I think the D’Arce is the way I want to get him.”

ONE Fight Night 10 is ONE Championship’s first on-site live event in the United States and will be broadcast live and for free on North American television via Prime Video.

#1. Demetrious Johnson ready to put Adriano Moraes chapter of his career behind him

Demetrious Johnson never had a true rival in his career, that was until he met Adriano Moraes.

The two stars are in a proverbial tug-of-war for the ONE flyweight world title, which is under the possession of Johnson. Their head-to-head currently stands at 1-1, with Johnson and Moraes both winning by spectacular knockout.

Ahead of his main event match against Moraes on ONE Fight Night 10, Johnson sat down with FOX 13 Seattle to discuss his trilogy with the Brazilian superstar.

‘Mighty Mouse’ said that he hopes that his match against Moraes at ONE Fight Night 10 will ultimately close their rivalry and that both of them can move on to different opponents:

“I think the biggest thing is when you’re in the gym and you’re working constantly with the same person for the third time, it kind of gets stale, is a good word to use. So hopefully, we go out there and we settle the score, we go 2-1 and move on to what’s next.”

Moraes was the first man to ever knock Johnson out when he retained the ONE flyweight world title in their first meeting in 2021. A year later, it was ‘Mighty Mouse’ who went on the offensive knocking out ‘Mikinho’ to capture the gold.

In doing so, Johnson became the first and only fighter to win world titles in ONE Championship and the UFC.
