After a couple of warnings, the referee showed him a yellow card, which effectively reduced his fight purse by 10 percent.

The third round saw both of them caught in a battle where neither fighter seemed to be able to get the upper hand. A head kick saw Khan in trouble, but Ting showed his courage by inviting attacks. Nong-O started the fourth round bigger, dropping Fairtex immediately, but Fairtex dodged a later-high kick and landed shots of his own. It would not matter.

Later in the fourth round, Nong-O landed a right hand that saw Fairtex fall straight back, completely knocked out.
