UFC Rankings Update: Major drop for Conor McGregor, another former champion removed from top 15

With UFC Fight Night 164 in the books, the promotion released an updated rankings list which saw many major changes.

The most notable amongst the lot was Conor McGregor slipping down to the 14th position in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings.

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio 'Shogun' Hua was booted out of the Light Heavyweight top 15 on the back of his split-decision draw to Paul Craig at the Sao Paulo show. Ronaldo Jacare Souza, who also competed at the Sao Paulo event and lost to Jan Blachowicz in a drab main event, entered the Light Heavyweight rankings at #15.

There were a few movers in the UFC Middleweight division as fighters in the bottom half of the division rose up by one spot.

Daniel Cormier dropped to #2 in the Light Heavyweight rankings while Thiago Santos moved up to the top spot.

There were also a few changes in the UFC Women's Flyweight division.
