Jim Miller is the definition of a UFC veteran. The blood, sweat and tears that 'A-10' has poured into the company may result in his name being etched into the record books forever during this weekend's UFC card.

UFC Vegas 69 will take place at the Apex this weekend, and is headlined by Jessica Andrade and Erin Blanchfield. Miller will open the main card against Alexander Hernandez, who is stepping up on short notice.

Miller already holds several records inside the UFC, but a win against Hernandez could extend the existing records into the unreachable territory. Heading into this weekend, Jim Miller holds the record for most UFC wins (24) and most UFC fights (40) ever.

Recently, MMA journalist Jed I. Goodman took to Twitter to provide some context behind Miller's achievements ahead of UFC Vegas 69.

Considering that many fighters on these two lists are either retired or in the latter stages of their respective careers, it is certainly possible that with another victory this weekend, Jim Miller's records will never be surpassed.

The only fighter that springs to mind who could possibly come close to both 40 or more fights and over 24 wins is Raul Rosas Jr., who entered the UFC at the staggering age of 18.

Miller will enter the octagon on the back of three straight finishes, and he will no doubt be confident that he can make it four in a row.

Jim Miller on taking most UFC wins record from Donald Cerrone during their bout

Jim Miller and Donald Cerrone faced off at UFC 276 last year in a record-breaking fight.

Both men were tied for the most UFC wins alongside Andrei Arlovski with 23 wins. The fighter claiming the spoils during their bout would be the stand-alone record holder.

Miller secured a guillotine choke in the second round, and was thrust into the UFC record books forever. During the post-fight press conference, he described how it felt to surpass Cerrone in the record books in a fight between the two men.

He said this:

"It's bittersweet, I'm a fan of Cowboy [Cerrone]... It's bittersweet seeing him go. But on the same stroke, taking the lead from the guy who I'm tied with - it's not like he already retired and then I just through attrition got there - taking it from [instead], it means a lot. It was a heck of a night."
