Davey Carl Allison was a former stock car racing driver. He was a native of Hollywood, Florida and a second-generation driver. Allison participated in the NASCAR Cup Series. He was born on February 25, 1961 and died on July 13th, 1993 in a helicopter crash. Before his death, he was racing in the NASCAR Cup Series 1993 season, with one win and more than 5 Top-10s. Davey Allison was the son of NASCAR legend and champion Bobby Allison. He debuted in the Cup Series in 1987 and won the Rookie of the Year honors. He won three Crown Jewel races, including the Daytona 500, the Coca-Cola 600 and the Winston 500 (thrice). Allison started 191 races in the Cup Series, achieving 19 victories and 92 Top-10s before his death. He was named among the 50 Greatest Drivers of NASCAR and later added to the list of the 75 Greatest Drivers of NASCAR in 2023. Allison is a NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee of 2019.
