Odell Beckham Jr. might end up signing with the Dallas Cowboys, an outcome that pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence is in favor of. However, given everything that has happened so far, Lawrence doesn't think his team needs to get caught up in the moment.

The Cowboys are 8-3 and look like genuine Super Bowl contenders. For Lawrence, that's all that matters. If they sign Beckham, that would be a nice addition, but he doesn't believe the team needs to engage in the "circus" as he called it.

According to Jon Machota, Lawrence wants to sign Beckham, but isn't sure the ultimate cost is worth it at this moment:

“It’s fair to say I’m trying to reach a Super Bowl. So if he can come and help us do that, yes, I’ll accept him. But if we’re just gonna do the circus, like, no, I don’t. I’m focused on this team.”

Beckham met with the team recently and his medical information was leaked afterwards, potentially causing part of what Lawrence feels is the circus.

Many members of the team, such as Micah Parsons, Dak Prescott, Jerry Jones and others, have been all in on signing Beckham, another aspect of the circus.

Following the meeting and the leaked personal information, it doesn't seem very likely that Beckham ends up in a Cowboys uniform. Perhaps that's for the best, especially as far as DeMarcus Lawrence is concerned.

What are the Dallas Cowboys chances of making the Super Bowl?

If they were to sign Odell Beckham Jr., the odds would likely go up a little bit, especially if he's healthy enough to contribute to an offense in need of a dependable second wide receiver.

Right now, the Cowboys are +700 to win it all, according to VegasInsider. They're behind the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

According to FiveThirtyEight's projections model, they also have the fourth-best chances with a 16% chance of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. That's behind the Eagles, Bills and Chiefs in that order as well.

They have a deep team that is filled with talent at almost every position. Signing Beckham would help, but to Lawrence's credit, this is already a Super Bowl caliber team.
