Abou Diaby: A Brief Biography

Vassiriki Abou Diaby known as Abou Diaby is a French footballer from Paris who plays for English club Arsenal in the Premier League and the France national team. Adept in both attack and defence, he is often described as a player who is \"languid, elusive, and athletic\". He began his football career playing for hometown club CM Aubervilliers. He joined Red Star Paris in 1998 and a year later was selected to attend Clairefontaine academy. He finally made a professional move to club Paris Saint-Germain. In January 2006, Diaby signed with English club Arsenal on a long-term contract making his debut that same months and scoring his first goal three months later against Aston Villa. Abou Diaby became a key player for the Club as Arsenal reached the Semi Final of the Champions League and won the Divison D\'Honneur des16 ans under-16 league in his first season in the club\'s. He made his first professional debut against club Paris Saint-Germain start on 20th March and made three more appearances as a substitute to the season. He is former French youth international and have earned caps at under-19 and under-21 level. He has also represented France at one major international tournament- the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
