Adriano Correia Claro simply known as Adriano, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as Full back / Midfielder player for FC Barcelona in La Liga. Ambidexterous in nature, he is capable of playing as a defender or midfielder, on both sides of the pitch. He started his professional career playing with his hometown club Coritiba Foot Ball Club, Brazil and making his first team debut at 17. In January 2005 he joined Sevilla FC in a four 1/2-year deal, making his La Liga debut arriving on the 29th in a 0–4 home loss against eventual champions FC Barcelona. Gaining skills and experience throughout the journey, he marked his place in reputed teams. He signed a four year contract with FC Barcelona on 17th July, 2010 at the age of 25 and made 31 appearances in first season at Barca. On 2 February 2011, in a rare start, he scored his first goal for the Catalans, netting in a 3–0 semi-final win at UD Almería for the season's Copa del Rey. On the international front, he won the U20's 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship and was part of the squad that won the Copa América, in Peru.
