Ahmed Barusso: A Brief Biography

Ahmed Apimah Barusso is a Ghanaian footballer who currently plays for Italian Serie B club Novara Calcio on loan from Serie A club Genoa. He is a defensive midfielder. Barusso started off his European footballing career at Manfredonia, helping them to three successive promotions from the Italian amateur leagues- Serie D to Serie C1. At the start of the 2006–07 season Barusso was signed by Serie B club Rimini in a co-ownership deal that was later turned permanent. He was named man of the match on two occassions against Juventus and Bologna. On 9 July 2007, he was officially bought by A.S. Roma for €1.7M. Barusso made his Serie A debut for A.S. Roma in a 3–0 away win over Parma on 7 October 2007. In January 2008, Barusso was loaned to Turkish Galatasaray and a few months later to Serie A team Siena. On 27 July 2009, Brescia of Serie B signed the Ghanaian midfielder on loan from AS Roma for a season. On 25 June 2010, Roma bought him out for another €100,000. On 23 August 2012, Barusso joined Genoa on a free transfer and next day, was moved out to Serie B side Novara Calcio
