Alain Baclet: A Brief Biography

Alain-Pierre Baclet is a French footballer who plays as a striker for Italian side Novara Calcio. He started off his football career playing in the Lille youth teams from 2001 to 2004, then moved to Italy to begin his professional career. Baclet was signed on by U.S. Lecce in co-ownership deal on July 2009. In his very first match, he scored 4 goals against Vico Equense at Coppa Italia. On 21 August 2009, in the opening match of Serie B, which was also his serie debut, he scored twice. Having only started 12 league matches in 30 league appearances, he failed to became a team regular. In June 2010, Lecce brough him out in a season long contract. He had an impressive start, scoring four goals in a Coppa Italia match against Vico Equense and some decisive last-minute goals in the league, but spent most of the season on the bench. In July 2010 he was traded to Serie B side Vicenza in a co-ownership deal,for €400,000, as part of the deal that brought Davide Brivio in.
