Albano Bizzarri: A Brief Biography

Albano Benjamín Bizzarri is an Argentine footballer who is the goalkeeper for S.S. Lazio in Serie A. Bizzarri started off playing for Racing Club de Avellaneda in the Argentine League. His impressive performance soon drew attention from the likes of La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid, which signed him in 1999. The following summer, he was transferred to Real Valladolid, eventually becoming first-choice. From 2006-07, he played for Gimnàstic de Tarragona in 22 matches. In June of 2007, Bizzarri was signed on a year long contract with Italy\'s Calcio Catania. After spending most of his first season in on the bench, Bizzarri became Catania\'s first-choice under new coach Walter Zenga during 2008-09. In June 2009, Bizzarri signed for S.S. Lazio, on a free transfer. He appeared four times in the season\'s UEFA Europa League, winning two and losing two goals.
