Alejandro "Álex" Bergantiños García is a Spanish footballer who plays for Deportivo de La Coruña as a central midfielder. He had his first professional turn as a footballer in 2008 when he was all of 23 years of age. He debuted with Deportivo B of the second division and was with them for four years, playing 97 matches and scoring 10 goals. In 2008, he was loaned by local Deportivo de La Coruña, scoring 3 goals during his time with the club. From 2008-2010, he was loan to Xerez and was an essential midfield figure as Xerez CD achieved a first-ever top flight promotion – 31 games, 21 starts and 2,085 minutes played. He made his La Liga debut on 30 August, playing the last 30 minutes in a 0–2 away loss against RCD Mallorca. Bergantiños moved to Granada CF for the 2010–11 season. In January, he ended his contract with the Deportivo and joined Gimnàstic de Tarragona.
