Andrés Alfonso Giménez Osorio is a professional baseball player from Venezuela who was born on September 4, 1998. He is a Major League Baseball shortstop and second base player for the Cleveland Guardians, who made his Major League Baseball debut with the New York Mets in 2020. Giménez signed a Major League Baseball contract with the New York Mets in July 2015 as an international free agent.



He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Mets, where he played the whole 2016 season. In July 2015, Giménez signed a Major League Baseball (MLB) contract as an international free agent with the New York Mets. He played the whole 2016 season with the Dominican Summer League Mets, where he made his professional debut and hit a combined .350 with three home runs, 38 RBIs, and a.992 on-base plus slugging (OPS) percentage.
