Antonio Barragan: A Brief Biography

Antonio Barragán Fernández (born in Pontedeume, Spain) is a Spanish football player who plays as a right defender for Valencia CF. He started his professional football career at Liverpool at the age of eighteen in 2005. During the season 2005-06 , in doing so Barragan became the youngest foreigner to play for the team Liverpool and joined with Dportivo La Coruna with a five-fear year contract on August 4th 2006. Barragan subsequently alternated in the right-back position with Manuel Pablo until he fractured his knee in 2008 and was out of action for the rest of the season however. Later on , he joined with Real Valladolid on a three-year deal in 2009, though he played two major levels of Spanish football in 2009-10 and moved to Valencia CF in a deal worth €1.5m in 2011. Although Antonio Barragán became the part of the Spanish U19 at the 2006 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship and called-up for the senior side, under-21s levels.
