Apostolos Vellios: A Brief Biography

Apostolos Vellios is a Greek football striker who plays for Everton F.C. and the Greek U-21 national team. Vellions\'s father Kostas Vellios is a former footballer of Iraklis. Vellios graduated from Aristotelio High School where he was crowned in the Greek High School Championship and also known for being a lifelong supporter of Iraklis. At Iraklis , he was started his professional football career in the year 2008 and made his first debut against Skoda Xanthi in the season 2008-09. At the end of the season , he made total of nine appearances and two goals for the club. In the following years ,by his impressive behavior of playing he attracted various club but he signed Everton offer of a fee of £250,000 on a four- year deal in January 2011. Having played with Everton , Vellios scored his first goal against Wigan Athletic and second goal against Chelsea. Though he has an international experience also, Apostolos Vellios has been capped fourteen times for the Greek U-19 team and was called-up for at Greek national team U-21 level in 2011.
