Conor Thomas is a English Footballer born on 29th October, 1993 in Coventry, England. He is a right footed defensive midfielder who also plays as a central midfielder at times. He plays for Atletico de Kolkata in the Indian Super League.


Background


He started his career playing for Christ The King FC before being spotted by the Coventry City team. He played for the England’s U17 team in 2009 and was a part of the 2009 Nordic Tournament in which England won beating Scotland in the finals.


Conor then represented Coventry City in the 2011 season when he made his debut against Crystal Palace in a FA Cup clash. Coventry City won the match 2-1. He scored his first professional goal against Blackpool in 2-1 away defeat.


Thomas joined the Premier League side Liverpool on a season long loan during the 2011-12 season. He played with the reserves team and occasionally trained with the first team. He later joined back Coventry City.


After 6 year long spell at Coventry City, Thomas joined Swindon Town on a 3 year deal. He made his debut for the team in a 1-0 home win over his former side Coventry City. He netted his first goal for Swindon Town in a 1-0 win.
