David Alegre

David Alegre Biosca is a Catalonian field hockey player from Spain who specialises in the midfield position. He finished in fourth position with the Men\'s National Team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. He plays club hockey for Club Egara in Terrassa. He along with his team picked up the gold after an impressive performance at the 2004 Champions trophy in Lahore. In 2007, the Spaniards tried to keep up their track record but had to contend with a silver medal at European Championship held at Manchester. He followed it up with another silver at the 2011 Champions trophy in Auckland. He was a member of the Spanish National Team that claimed the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, PR China. He also competed for the national team in the men\'s tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics where Spain came in the sixth position. His older brother Ramón is also a field hockey international player for Spain.
