Lallianzuala Chhangte: A Brief Biography
Lallianzuala Chhangte is an Indian professional footballer. He was born on 8 June 1997 in Mizoram, India. He plays for Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League.
Background
Lallianzuala started his football career as he joined the DSK Shivajians Liverpool International Football Academy in 2014 and played in the 2014-15 I-League U19 season.
In this season he scored 16 goals and made his team qualify for the final round where they finished 7th and he became the top scorer in the league.
India U19's coach Lee Johnson was so impressed by him and he was called up to represent the AIFF in the 2015 FAM-FRENZ Asia U18 Champions Trophy season.
Debut
On 25 December 2015, Lallianzuala made debut for India against Sri Lanka in 2015 SAFF Championship with this he became the 502nd player to represent the Indian national team.
In this match, he was called up as a substituted for Robin Singh in the 77th minute and in this India won by 2-0 lead.
In his very next match on 27 December, he scored 2 goals for India in their 4–1 win over Nepal and became the second youngest goalscorer for India's senior national team. Later he went to represent India U19s for the 2016 AFC U-19 Championship.
Club Career
On 16 May 2016, Lallianzuala joined NorthEast United on loan for the 2016 Indian Super League season.
On 5 November 2016, he made his debut against Mumbai City as a 74th-minute substitute for Robin Gurung.
However the team NorthEast United lost this game by 1–0 to Mumbai. After NorthEast United failed to qualify for the finals, Chhangte returned to DSK Shivajians.
Later he joined Delhi Dynamos FC in 2017. On 22 November 2017, he made his debut for Delhi Dynamos in Indian Super League 2017-2018 season against FC Pune City.
