Apple TV+ has seen many interesting releases in May 2023, including Silo and City on Fire. Silo in particular, starring Rebecca Ferguson, Rashida Jones, David Oyelowo, Common, Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Avi Nash, and Rick Gomez has received positive reviews from viewers.

The story showcases a dystopian world and is focused on a community of people who live in a giant underground silo. The show is based on a series of post-apocalyptic science fiction books written by Hugh Howey. Season 1 premiered on May 5, 2023, on Apple TV+ and a second season is currently in the works.

Given that Apple TV+ has already delivered plenty of interesting content in the few months since the start of the year, subscribers will be looking forward to more engrossing TV shows and movies in the coming months. Particularly in June 2023, Apple TV+ subscribers can expect new seasons of old favorites, in addition to brand-new offerings.


5 Apple TV+ releases that should be on your June 2023 watchlist

1) The Crowded Room - June 9

Created by Akiva Goldsman, the Apple TV+ miniseries stars Tom Holland, Amanda Seyfried, Emmy Rossum, Sasha Lane, Will Chase, Lior Raz, Laila Robins, and Henry Eikenberry. The story focuses on Danny Sullivan who is arrested for his involvement in a New York City shooting and an investigator who wants to find out the truth.

The story is inspired by the non-fiction novel The Minds of Billy Milligan by Daniel Keyes. As Holland is mostly known for his portrayal of Spiderman in the Marvel movies, fans of the actor will be looking forward to seeing him in a different, more mature role.


2) The Snoopy Show (Season 3) - June 9

Inspired by the popular Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz, The Snoopy Show is a fun and entertaining show for the whole family to watch together. First premiering on Apple TV+ on February 5, 2021, the show is all set to welcome its third season which will be available for streaming from June 9.

Short and sweet, the episodes feature all the favorite characters from the strip namely Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, and more. If you have young children in the house then this is the perfect show to stream during family TV nights.


3) Lovely Little Farm (Season 2) - June 16

Starring Kassidi Roberts, Levi Howden, Micah Balfour, and more, this wholesome Apple TV+ show is about two sisters who care for all the animals on their farm nestled in lavender fields. What's really fascinating about their farm is that some of the animals can talk to them.

In the last episode of season 1, Jill accidentally drops the golden egg and starts hiccuping. When she cannot get the hiccups to stops, she wonders whether she has it in her to become a good farmer. In season 2, the young farmers are likely to come against new challenges but with a little help, they will surely find a way to overcome them all.


4) Swagger (Season 2) - June 23

Created by Reggie Rock Bythewood, this Apple TV+ show stars O'Shea Jackson Jr., Isaiah Hill, Shinelle Azoroh, Tessa Ferrer, Quvenzhané Wallis, Caleel Harris, and more. The story focuses on youth basketball, the players, their families, and coaches.

The show is loosely based on the experiences of current NBA player Kevin Durant. In season 2, Jace, Nick, Musa, Drew, and Royale are in their senior year and vying to win a national high school championship, but when a controversial video surfaces, it threatens to derail their dreams.


5) Hijack - June 28

This Apple TV+ thriller stars Idris Elba, Archie Panjabi, Neil Maskell, Eve Myles, Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Kate Phillips, and Ben Miles. The story focuses on a business negotiator named Sam who must use his skills to save the passengers on a hijacked plane.

Although the official trailer is not out yet, the first-look teasers certainly look intriguing. The premise is not new to the audience but it will be interesting to see how the team can bring in new twists and turns to keep the audience hooked. If done well, this will be an engaging watch for those who enjoy intense thrillers.


As expected Apple TV+ has a lot of interesting content in store for subscribers in 2023, and these June releases offer great variety which means that there is something for everyone to enjoy.
