On August 31, 2025, Fifth Harmony surprised fans by performing at one of the Jonas Brothers' tour stops in Texas, following their indefinite hiatus since 2018. The girl group's members Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui delivered the performance, which had been teased earlier on their social media account with the hashtag #FifthHarmonyFollowSpree.

Following their reunion, the girl group has updated their social media bio to "Where were you on August 31, 2025?” and also released new merchandise. Shortly after the reunion, Jonas Brothers posted a hilarious TikTok video sitting in the audience section, wherein Nick Jonas asks if "you think they'll play Work From Home by Fifth Harmony," to which Kevin Jonas says:

"No. This is a Jonas Brothers concert."

Shortly after Kevin denies Nick's assumption, the video cuts to the girl group performing Work From Home at their recent reunion. The girl group also took to X after their reunion performance, thanking the Jonas Brothers in the caption and expressing that they "felt amazing to be back."

Fifth Harmony's reunion without Camila Cabello comes nearly a year after Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane gave a mixed reaction to being asked about the girl group coming together at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music event.

While Brooke said "we're not sure", Jane didn't hint at a reunion and rather emphasized the resurgence of the band's songs, stating:

“I love that our fans can reminisce on such good times and I love that we’re getting the credit again. Our music was very impactful at the time and I feel like it was kind of overlooked, to be honest. So now that it’s reviving again on its own it just shows our music speaks for itself.”

"I started distancing myself from the group vision": When Camila Cabello opened up about her exit from Fifth Harmony

Fifth Harmony was formed in 2012 on The X Factor, wherein the band members had auditioned individually but joined to form a girl group, ultimately finishing third in the competition.

After achieving fame with their hit songs, the girl group's member Camila Cabello took to X on December 20, 2016, to announce her departure from Fifth Harmony. Additionally, Camila seemed to express discontent over the girl group's statement regarding her exit. They claimed that the other members were informed of the singer's decision to leave the band through her representatives.

Years after she departed from the girl group, Camila Cabello reflected on the same during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast in March 2024. Refuting rumors of reuniting with the band, Camila said:

“I started distancing myself from the group vision, and it felt like, you know, they were still really passionate and into that and so, I was just like, ‘I’m not happy here anymore, it doesn’t feel aligned.'"

Further, talking about deciding to pursue a solo career, the Havana singer mentioned:

“I can remember waking up on tour and going to my hotel room at, like, 7 am and going to my garage band and, like, writing songs, cause I didn’t want to do it while everybody was there and I had such a passion that turned into writing."

Before their reunion at the Jonas Brothers concert, Fifth Harmony performed as a group for the last time in Tampa, Florida, in May 2018.
