GOT7 BamBam's first-ever Korean original soundtrack, Melting, for the K-drama A Business Proposal, has topped iTunes Charts all over the world. The singer is making a splash on the online music streaming platform and proving his skills as a soloist.

Kunpimook Bhuwakul, also known as BamBam, is a Thai rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer based in South Korea. He is a part of the boy band, GOT7, which consists of members: Jay B, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, and Yugyeom.

BamBam's OST 'Melting' tops iTunes charts in almost 13 countries

On March 9, 2022, the K-pop singer dropped the much-anticipated original soundtrack, Melting, for the Korean drama A Business Proposal. Soon after its release, the song soared to the top of iTunes Charts in various countries across the globe.

The original soundtrack reached #1 in 13 different countries, including Brazil, Thailand, Colombia, Costa Rica, Fiji, Finland, Philippines, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and more. It was also ranked among the top 10 on the iTunes song charts in Bulgaria, Estonia, United Arab Emirates, and Greece on March 11, 2022.

The track is not only a first for the soloist, but it is also special in a unique way, as the artist once trained alongside series star Ahn Hyo Seop when the actor was an idol trainee under JYP Entertainment.

The OST Melting is an upbeat, fast-paced track that falls under the R&B genre, fitting perfectly for the sweet and fresh romance story in the K-drama. Additionally, composer ZAYDRO, who has worked with well-known artists like MAMAMOO, The Boyz, and Super Junior, collaborated with BamBam on this song.

A Business Proposal is a rom-com series based on a web novel that was adapted into a webtoon. The series follows an office employee, Ha-ri (played by Kim Se-jeong), who goes on a blind date while hiding her identity in place of her friend Jin Young-seo (played by Seol In-ah) with her company’s CEO Kang Tae-mu (played by Ahn Hyo Seop), and the resulting chaos that follows.

Latest updates on the K-pop idol

BamBam dropped a solo comeback on January 18, 2022, with the mini-album B. The album’s music video for the title track Slow Mo combines hip hop beats over an indie pop line. Additionally, the lyrics of the song were also written and composed by American singer Pink Sweats.

The mini-album contains six songs, including Intro (Satellites), Subliminal, Let Me Love You, and Ride or Die. It also includes the hitmaker Who Are You featuring Red Velvet’s Seulgi as the title track as well.
