Law & Order: Organized Crime is bound for a fourth season in the upcoming year, i.e., 2024. The news comes amidst the final episode of the show's third season, which aired on May 18, 2023.

Season four of Law & Order: Organized Crime is slated to have 13 episodes instead of the usual 22. The show is releasing alongside the other six shows in the franchise, Law and Order and One Chicago, both of which were the brainchild of Dick Wolf, the legendary creator of the show.

According to the NBC press, Wolf recently expressed his gratitude about the upcoming releases in a recent interview.

He said,

"I’m pleased to continue my four-decade relationship with Universal Television and NBC... all six shows being picked up again is the ultimate accolade to our incredible casts, producers, and writers. I'd also like to thank our loyal fans who have kept our NBC shows on the air for what will be a cumulative 84 seasons.”

Cast remains the same for Law & Order: Organized Crime season 4

Even as season 3 of Law & Order: Organized Crime comes to an end, viewers can still see their favorite characters next year, in 2024. SVU has also been renewed for next year.

Liza Katz, who heads the department of scripted programming at NBCUniversal and streaming, confirmed the news. She said,

"We understand the emotional connection our audience has with these characters and we can’t wait to bring more of their stories to the forefront next season."

She further remarked,

"A huge thank you to Dick and his amazing team who are the masters of producing incredibly compelling television week after week.”

The cast includes Christopher Meloni, Danielle Moné Truitt, Ainsley Seiger, Rick Gonzalez, and Brent Antonello.


Law and Order: Organized Crime season 4 to release in 2024

The investigative thriller is set to premiere its fourth season some time in 2024. No dates have been announced so far.

The storyline for the show has not yet been officially released. However, it is speculated that the series is truncated to thirteen episodes instead of the regular twenty-two-episode run because the creative team has big plans for the show that could be adjusted only in this figurative run.


A quick look into Law and Order: Organized Crime season 3

As per IMDb, the description of the show reads,

"Elliot Stabler returns to the NYPD to battle organized crime after a devastating personal loss. However, the city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he has been away, and he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning."

The last episode of season 3 marked a total of 52 episodes in the series. This marked the death of Whalen, and Stabler said goodbye to Benson before disappearing on an extended assignment. It also brought Stabler and Benson together for a happy ending.

It will be interesting to see what happens next in the fourth season, set to premiere in 2024.
