New pictures of TWICE's Mina and BLACKPINK's Lisa came out today, showing the duo shopping together and having what seems like a fun time. On their way, they even paused to click pictures of a cat. The duo's sudden outing caught fans off-guard, and pictures of the same are making the rounds online.

TWICE and BLACKPINK, having debuted in 2015 and 2016, respectively, have been in the industry for almost the same amount of time. Simultaneously, the Do not touch crooner and Lisa are both '97 liners (born in 1997), so it is no wonder the duo, lovingly dubbed "MinaLisa" by their fans, appear to be close friends.

"97 girlies MinaLisa shopping together": Fans take to social media as pictures of TWICE's Mina and BLACKPINK's Lisa shopping together go viral

For the unversed, idols of separate groups become friends under various circumstances, one of the most prevalent reasons being if they are born in the same year.

For instance, K-pop enthusiasts are now likely to be aware of the male '97 liners' club, made up of members of BTS, ASTRO, SEVENTEEN, NCT, and GOT7. They occasionally get together for meals and meet-ups.

Naturally, there is a female '97 liners' squad as well. Netizens were taken by storm after photobooth pictures of (G)I-DLE's Minnie, TWICE's Jihyo and Mina, and BLACKPINK's Lisa went viral back in 2022. Jihyo is Korean, Mina hails from Japan, and Minnie and Lisa are Thai. Fans of these three sensational girl groups were stunned to see their favorites being good friends.

Mina, who also attended BLACKPINK's concert with TWICE's Nayeon and Jihyo back in 2022, even revealed during her interview with Heize that the MONEY rapper and her sometimes catch up for meals as well. Therefore, the latest shopping excursion adds to their expanding get-together list.

By this time, their heartwarming friendship has given reasons enough to put an end to any differences between their individual fandoms.

In recent news, BLACKPINK's Lisa will be featured in Italian jewelry mammoth Bulgari's Icon Campaign to promote its B.zero1 range, alongside American actress Zendaya. For the unversed, Lisa is Bulgari's Global Brand Ambassador.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK also won Social Hot Star at this year's Circle Chart Music Awards.

TWICE's Japanese sub-unit MISAMO's debut with Mina, Sana, and Momo made quite a splash in 2023 when they rolled out their album Masterpiece. At the same time, TWICE is gearing up for its 13th mini album, With YOU-th, set to drop on February 23 this year.
