Andrew Tate's father Emory Tate died of a heart attack

Emory Tate was an international master in the game of chess. He was born on December 27, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He was notably referred to as "absolutely a trailblazer for African-American chess" by the first black chess grandmaster Maurice Ashley.

Emory Tate learned the art of chess as a child and soon became a creative and dangerous tactician on the Unites States chess circuit. He won around 80 tournament games against Grandmasters.

He passed away when he was just 56 years old after collapsing suddenly during a tournament in Milpitas, California.

After the first round of his game, he went to the restroom. When he returned to his seat, he asked one of his colleagues to call 911, as per MSN. No sooner did he request emergency services, he fell and collapsed. He was provided with first aid as the other participants waited for an ambulance.
