When the alleged video of the idols went viral on social media, fans wanted to know when the French journalist took the video and photos.

Through his Instagram story on May 18, 2023, Taoualit Amar disclosed that he took videos of the idols on May 15, 2023, at 11:36 pm. He wrote that he posted the video two days later to ensure the idols' safety. Amar is also confident in his belief that the couple he saw that day was indeed BTS' V and BLACKPINK's Jennie.

The French photographer has also stated that he is waiting for HYBE LABELS and YG Entertainment to confirm the news. He then addressed fans' doubts about how he saw the alleged couple roaming the streets of Paris, which sparked speculation of a date.

Fans also reacted differently to the photographer's statement. Some believe it might be a cosplay, while others argue that cosplayers wouldn't use expensive cars and managers to make it realistic. Some fans say they will only trust the agencies' statements and eagerly await their official response.

Nevertheless, the alleged video of BLACKPINK's Jennie and BTS' Kim Tae-hyung has sparked controversy and led to fan wars among K-pop fans. Some are elated by the rumor and wish the best for the idols, while others believe fans should respect the idols' privacy and not intrude into their personal lives.

Meanwhile, Taoualit Amar is currently engaged in resolving fans' queries regarding the video of Kim Tae-hyung and Jennie through his social media account.
