EXO’s Baekhyun recently posted a long message on the Bubble platform on Monday, May 22, explaining his stance and apologizing to fans for his previous comments of wanting to hold a group for fans for his. A few days ago, on May 14, the Bambi singer engaged with fans on Twitter and talked about how comfortable his recently purchased socks were.

When fans began showing interest in the socks, the idol told them that he would ask his stylists and inquire if he can place a group order for the socks in bulk as it would be cheaper. While some fans seemed to be fine with it and were even excited at the possibility of hosting a group order, a slew of criticisms were also hailed at Baekhyun for seemingly trying to profit off fans.

As the criticism grew, EXO’s Baekhyun took to Bubble to clarify his intentions about the group order. He also mentioned that he asked the production team responsible for the recent Toelaegi pop-up store to have reasonable prices for merchandise. Tolaegi is a cartoon character created by the Bambi singer.

He added that the thought of having fans buy his favorite socks at a cheap price popped-up suddenly and hence he engaged that way on Twitter. He then apologized for coming across as someone who “was trying to make money like a seller.” However, the lengthy Bubble message upset many fans, who began criticizing the people who had tried to ruin the EXO member’s reputation.

EXO’s Baekhyun clarifies misunderstandings about hosting a group order for fans

EXO’s Baekhyun was a much-talked about topic for the past week within the group’s fandom, both for positive and negative reasons. The idol spent a good amount of time replying to Korean fans’ tweets from his personal Twitter account on May 14. While engaging with a few fans, conversations about opening a group order for fans for his favorite socks suddenly popped up.

The conversation arose after a fan asked him about the brand of the white socks the Bambi singer wore recently and jokingly promised that they wouldn’t sell it out. He mentioned that he didn’t know the details but had ordered plenty of them. Another fan then suggested opening a group order and to their surprise, EXO’s Baekhyun agreed with it.

When one fan mentioned that they would buy the socks no matter how costly it would be, the Bambi singer denied. However, the conversation spread across other parts of the internet where people criticized him for trying to earn profit from fans and sell the brand. Later, taking to Bubble on May 22, EXO’s Baekhyun clarified the issue.

However, some fans were upset that the Bambi singer had to apologize. They mentioned that he was only trying to get it cheaperfor them, as he has always cared for fans. Check out their reactions below:
