Taylor Swift has confirmed that she does not plan to go on tour once again after her record-breaking Eras tour ended last year. The singer explained she is very tired after travelling the world for the Eras tour.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1 released on October 3, Taylor Swift was asked if she still has "the itch" for another tour anytime soon. The pop star has notably just dropped her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

"No, no, I'm gonna be really honest with you. I am so tired when I think about doing it again, because I would want to do it really, really well again," Swift said.

In her interview with BBC Radio 1, Taylor Swift explained how her emotional state has impacted her songwriting in The Life of a Showgirl. She mentioned that she was afraid that her lyrics would be impacted if she were "happy and free" and wrote:

"What if writing is directly tied to my torment and pain? And it turns out, that's not the case at all, and we just were catching lightning in a bottle with this record. But it's nice because you're from a place of happiness and love, you can go back to those places. You can look forward to other things."

Swift was also asked if all her songs were inspired by her life. She responded:

"I am open about things, but in recent years I have a different perspective and like storytelling at a little bit of a distance, so it isn't like doing a complete autopsy of myself."

A lot of Swift's music has been speculated to have been inspired by some of her relationships and other important life events. In her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, she returned to a more pop, upbeat style of music, similar to her other iconic works, including 1989 and Reputation.

The pop star also notably regained ownership of her masters, marking all of the music she has made as her own. This marked an end to her infamous feud with producer Scooter Braun, who had sold the ownership of some of her albums without Swift's permission. After reclaiming ownership, Swift announced the same through her official social media accounts and website.

Apart from her professional life, Taylor Swift has also announced a big event in her personal life. Last month, she took the internet by storm as she announced her engagement to Travis Kelce. The two have been quite public with their relationship, and Swift also announced her latest album for the first time on Kelce's podcast, New Heights.

Speaking of her ring, Swift also revealed that her engagement ring was made by a jeweller called Kindred Lubeck. She explained that she had once shown a video about Lubeck to Travis Kelce and he remembered it and got the ring made by her. Swift and Kelce have yet to announce a wedding date.

"She does all of her gold engraving by hand. I just thought all of her stuff was so cool, so I'd shown him a video a year and a half ago. And he was just paying attention to everything, it turns out, because when I saw the ring I was like, 'Aaahh, I know who made that!' And also that you listened to me. It was like, you really know me. I didn't know what I would want, but he did somehow. And that's kind of a flex," Swift said.

Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl has received mostly positive reviews from critics, including Rolling Stone, The Independent, and The Telegraph. Meanwhile, The Guardian notably gave a negative review, awarding it two stars. The album, with 12 tracks (including a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter) is available for streaming on all platforms.
