In the clip, the rapper is seen smoking what seems to be a blunt while getting his hair done when he comes upon a comment saying that he resembles Binks.

For those uninformed, Jar Jar Binks is a character from the sci-fi franchise Star Wars. The character's first appearance was in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace in 1999. According to the Star Wars website, Binks belongs to the Gungan species and was exiled from Otoh Gunga for his "repeated clumsiness."

After reading the comment, Ty Dolla $ign denied the resemblance, saying he didn't even know what the character looked like. He doubled down on his denial after someone showed him a picture of Binks, quipping that the character didn't have his big forehead amid laughter.

"Nah, for real, for real, I don't even know what Jar Jar Binks looks like and I'm not even finna look him up, so that's not even funny to me. F**k that, I'm not looking him up. F**k that! Ah, this n*** just showed me. I do not look like no motherf**king Jar Jar Binks, who made that dumba** shit up? First of all, he don't even got a big forehead," he said.

Jar Jar Binks appears again in Attack of the Clones. In Revenge of the Sith, he appears on screen but has no dialogue. According to the Star Wars website, Binks is described as:

"A clumsy, well-meaning Gungan outcast on Naboo, Jar Jar Binks struggled to prove his worth throughout his life. Putting his awkward past behind him, Jar Jar left the swamps of Naboo to enter the even murkier waters of Coruscant politics, becoming a representative for his people in the galactic capital. There, his best intentions and eagerness to serve were exploited by scheming Senators and others in positions of power."

Jar Jar Binks received negative reviews following his first appearance in the prequel trilogy, with many characterizing him as annoying. Ahmed Best, the actor who played Binks, revealed that the criticism "hurt [him] emotionally" but wasn't "debilitating" enough to affect his work during a 2015 interview with Vice.

Meanwhile, George Lucas revealed that Binks was his favorite character from Star Wars during The Phantom Menace's 20th anniversary celebrations in 2019. During Disney’s D23 expo in 2015, Lucas said Disney's Goofy inspired the character.

“I can’t even begin to tell you how much of an influence Disney has had on me. I will say one secret that nobody knows: Not many people realize that Goofy was the inspiration for Jar Jar Binks. I know that you will look at him differently now. It’s pretty obvious, actually, but, um, I love Goofy and I love Jar Jar,” he said.
