Actress Jessy Hodges, 35, and Saturday Night Live alum Beck Bennett, 37, have welcomed their first child together. Hodges took to Instagram on March 11 to announce the news with a series of before and after photos, which she captioned:
"I used to be pregnant, but then I had a baby."
The first snap in the series showed a pregnant Hodges sitting on a hospital bed with an ultrasound machine behind her. The second photo featured Hodges holding onto her newborn as she enjoyed a sandwich after giving birth.
The third picture is a lovely snap of the actress being wheeled out of the hospital with her baby in her arms as Bennett stands behind her. The news came as a surprise to many as the couple never really announced that they were expecting.
Fans are now speculating that the arrival of his newborn and Hodges' pregnancy might have been the reason behind Bennett leaving Saturday Night Live back in September 2021. At the time, he confirmed the news via his Instagram handle, writing:
"Love you, SNL. Gonna miss you so much. Thank you for 8 years of remarkable people and incredible experiences that completely changed my life. I had so much fun."
Hodges and Bennett tied the knot in 2018
The actress' credits include theater, television, web series, and film. Hodges is best known for her roles as Sophie Parker in the online web series, Anyone But Me, Farrah in Graves and Melanie in Hindsight.
Hodges, who is originally from Asheville, North Carolina, grew up in Huntington Woods, Michigan and pursued studies in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Hodges and Bennett tied the knot in 2018. At the time, Bennett took to Instagram to gush over their wedding as he shared multiple shots from their big day, captioning them:
"Im so lucky I got to marry you @jessyhodges. Love you forever times a billions. Thank you to all our friends and family who came out to celebrate us and made it the best weekend of our lives."
The couple have been together since 2011.
