Who is Zion Foster? Little Mix star Jesy Nelson announces engagement months after the birth of their twins

Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has announced her engagement to Zion Foster. The announcement came four months after the couple welcomed their twin daughters in May, named Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.

On September 26, Jesy Nelson took to Instagram to announce her engagement to musician Zion Foster. She shared close-up images of her engagement ring and a shot of Foster kissing her on the cheek at the beach. She wrote:

"Just got engaged to my best friend."

Zion Foster is a South London-based musician who began getting recognition while posting music on SoundCloud. He rose to fame in 2015, when his track Get This Girl received over 250K streams. Since then, he has released more music and has over 400K listeners on Spotify.

Foster was first linked to Jesy Nelson in late 2022. At 26 years of age, he is seven years younger than Nelson. The couple reportedly began dating after a romantic trip to Jamaica together. In 2024, Nelson and Foster allegedly broke up before getting back together again. They welcomed their twin daughters in May this year.

Jesy Nelson and Zion Foster open up about the former's difficult pregnancy

Shortly after Jesy Nelson announced her pregnancy on social media in January this year, she also opened up about being diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). Following her diagnosis, Nelson had to spend 10 weeks in the hospital to undergo an emergency procedure.

After she went through with the procedure successfully, Nelson shared an update about her condition on social media. She wrote:

"TTTS has cleared up, the operation was a success, which is just absolutely incredible. We are so, so, lucky to have the most amazing doctors. Basically, the situation that we're in now is my cervix is very, very, short, so I can't leave the hospital because my waters could break at any point and I'm still very, very, early."

In an appearance on This Morning after the birth, Jesy Nelson and Zion Foster shared more details about the difficult time they went through together. Nelson revealed that pregnancy should have been "the happiest time" of her life, but she was scared to announce it, anticipating "something bad" would happen.

Zion Foster was by her side during this difficult time, and also opened up about the situation. He said:

"I just felt while Jesy was going through it all, just words of reassurance and staying positive was all I could do even though we knew the risks. I felt so helpless."

Finally, Nelson and Foster welcomed their twin baby girls in May, as they were born in 31 weeks and five days. Jesy Nelson announced their birth on social media, confirming that they are healthy.

For those uninformed, Nelson rose to fame after winning The X Factor in 2011 with her former band, Little Mix. The girl group's other members were Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. The group split in December 2020 as Nelson stepped out.

Apart from making music individually, Zion Foster and Jesy Nelson have a collaboration on a track titled Mine, which was released last year.
