Nike and Michael Jordan have established a well-known and iconic Air Jordan sneaker lineage, which has continued to rule the sneaker market for almost four decades. The duo has made sure to surprise their fans with multiple retro pieces throughout 2023, and now it seems the trend will continue in 2024.

After previously appearing over Air Jordan 1 High and Low, the "Lucky Green" color scheme will now be boasting Air Jordan 5 model to reminisce the heydays of Michael Jordan as a pro basketball player. The "Lucky Green" color scheme is one of the most famous and frequent colorways to accentuate over Jordan sneakers.

An official release date for the Air Jordan 5 "Lucky Green" sneakers hasn't been announced by Nike yet. However, according to the media outlet Sneaker Bar Detroit, the pair will be launched via the official e-commerce site of Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers in Spring 2024.

Michael Jordan's eponymous footwear label can be held responsible for conjoining the sneaker and fashion world to basketball. The label launched the Air Jordan signature sneaker line in 1985 with the release of Air Jordan 1, which currently extends up to Air Jordan 37.

The label has added multiple makeovers upon each of the models. However, it is the Air Jordan 5 which has been receiving more love in recent years. Capitalizing upon its popularity, the sneaker model will see a small spotlight with the Air Jordan 5 "Lucky Green" color scheme.

The 1990-released silhouette is in full force after being revived by the Swoosh label in 2023. The official Nike site introduces the Air Jordan 5 silhouette as:

"In his 1989-1990 season, it was clear that MJ was better than ever. Setting a points per game personal record, he drained 69 points against Cleveland. Tinker Hatfield took inspiration from Jordan's biting style and, likening it to an American WWII fighter plane, he designed the Air Jordan V with shark-tooth shapes on the midsole."

Joining the preceding AJ1, AJ2, AJ3, and more, the Jordan label will add Lucky Green upon AJ5. The shoe's upper comes in a "White/Lucky Green/Black/Ice Blue" color scheme. Leaked images of the sneaker haven't been revealed by the label yet. However, a mock-up for the aforementioned has been prepared by ZSneakerheads and Sneaker Files.

The pair is expected to feature a white leather base, contrasted with the Lucky Green overlays and accents throughout the shoe. After the majority of the upper is done in white, the green hue is expected to color the lace locks, inner lining, midsoles, and tongue branding.

A part of the tongue and midsoles might feature pops of black hue, including the shark teeth on the midsoles. The look might be finished with translucent netting and ice-blue matching rubber outsoles.

The pair can be expected to drop in Spring 2024 via Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers for a price tag of $200. One can expect the pair to launch in women's sizes.
