Brad Pitt worked an extra day for free in the adventure-comedy Lost City, as reported by Sandra Bullock. The Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum starrer has a surprise guest appearance from the Hollywood icon Brad Pitt, as revealed in the trailer.
Sandra Bullock shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly of how Pitt came to be a part of the movie. It happened through an exchange and through a mutual contact, their hairstylist. Pitt agreed to make an appearance in The Lost City after Bullock signed a contract to appear in the thriller Bullet Train.
While sharing what it was like to have Pitt on the set, Sandra Bullock revealed that he worked for free for a day. He was only supposed to shoot for three days, for the film Lost City. He had just finished another shoot and was dead tired. Even then, when Bullock asked him to film for a fourth day for free, he did it. While talking about his dedication, Bullock said that he even bulked up for the three-day role. She added,
"You just realize he's a movie star and a great actor for a reason: Because he works really, really hard. He brought a work ethic that was pretty astounding. We had monsoon rains. It was hot. We were in the jungle...He brought his professionalism, and he is Brad Pitt because he's just freaking awesome."
